To be completed on your first visit and valid for all subsequent visits unless you inform us otherwise. Conditions under which pets are accepted for grooming (These conditions do not affect your statutory rights)
Paws Glorious Paws – Pippin House, Orchard Grove, East Markham, NG22 0RZ
Dogs that I will not groom until I have consent & advice from their vet (for their own safety)
Bitches that are pregnant
All dogs which are undergoing/recovering from medical treatment
Puppies – Until at least 14 days after their second set of vaccinations
Please don't bring a dog in that's has flea’s, diarrhoea or a bitch that is in season.
Flea Treatments: I recommend that if these are due at your dog’s grooming schedule, that you do it after the groom
Infestations
All dogs can get the occasional flea (or tick) and this is no reflection on the owner.
Should fleas be found during the groom, I will stop the groom and attempt to contact you.
For mild cases I can bath the dog in flea shampoo at an additional cost of £10
Heavily infested dogs will not be groomed and must be collected as soon as possible. Charges for the booking and sanitising the salon will be applied.
Please be patient, every groom is at least 1.5 hours long; most are 2 or 2.5 hours. I recommend keeping to your dog’s recommended grooming schedule, so it will help keep its coat looking great and more manageable at each groom, as a shave off / coat removal, could likely increase grooming price.
I recommend you book your next appointment at pick up whilst it is fresh in the mind and my diary does get booked up quickly.
Please let me know if your dog has a tendency to bite or has bitten in the past so that I can be particularly aware when grooming. If I feel in necessary, I may also take extra precaution and use a muzzle during the groom.
Wee Wee's Please! Please ensure your dog has had an adequate chance to relieve itself before you come to the salon.
Unfortunately, anal gland expression is deemed to be a "veterinary procedure" and therefore under the Veterinary Surgeons Act we are now prevented from performing this service for you.
Feedback: If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom, please let me know before you leave, or as soon as possible so that I can alter the trim or make the appropriate notes for the next appointment.
No dog will be subjected to stress or discomfort, and all dogs will be groomed in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Payment will be due on collection. Price will depend upon the amount of work carried out. Payment types accepted are card, cash or bank transfer. Prices are calculated on the amount of work required to groom your dog and taking into account their behaviour to being groomed.
De-Matting
I understand that occasionally dogs will come in with KNOTS. These can usually be removed but often it takes time. Shaving of pets to remove matted coat is required sometimes for the dog’s welfare. It must be clearly understood and agreed that the process may dramatically change the pet's appearance – short term. It may also cause a short term "clipper rash" and expose pre-existing skin complaints for which we cannot be held liable.
Appointment reminders can be sent to you via text or email. I may also text when your dog is ready. I will never disclose your details with a third parties.
Cancellation
There may be times when you need to cancel an appointment.
I require 24 hours’ notice, so I can try to fill this slot.
If less than 24 hours’ notice (or no notice) is given, a charge of up to the full price of the groom may be added depending on the amount of notice given. This charge will be added to your next appointment.
Social media
I may use Before and After pictures of your dog online on my website and social media pages.
The dog’s name may be shown.
I will never publish owner’s names or addresses.
If you would NOT like your dog to appear online, please let me know beforehand.
Finally: If you are unsure which tools and / or products to use to groom your dog with between appointments please ask, and I’ll be happy to help and advise you.
